Trev Alberts is on a journey from All-American linebacker, to an injury-plagued career in the NFL, to a football analyst on ESPN and CBS, to then becoming the Athletic Director at Nebraska-Omaha where he was charged with making tough decisions to make an athletic department financially viable. For the last year, he has been the Director of Athletics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he inherited a football and men’s basketball program that have struggled to win games in the Big Ten.
